Starlin "Star" Sky Strong {Waasa Gii-Ghick}, age 9 of Tower died Monday, November 10, 2008 in the Virginia Regional Medical Center, as the result of injuries sustained in a motor vehicle accident. He was born October 4, 1999 the son of Allison Strong and Michael Goggleye. Star was an active member of the 3rd Grade class in the Tower-Soudan School, he loved to tease everyone, and he and Jeff loved to be the "bad boys," His Uncle Tim was his favorite. Star loved to draw and would fill pages with his drawings. He also loved to model characters, dinosaurs and godzillas from play-doh. He always carried a bag of toys with him no matter where he went. Star had a big heart and constantly looked out for his smaller cousins. He always had a smile and shared a special bond with his mom. He was his Grandpa's Little Man and Grandma's Sunshine.

         Starlin is survived by his mom, Allison Strong; his biological father, Michael Goggleye; his stepfather, Jim "Daniel" Morrison; grandparents, Vickie Hackey, Gaynard Strong, Diane Goggleye, Loren Connor and a special grandma Linda Mattson; numerous aunts, uncles and cousins including, Crystal (Chris) Mattson, Rhiannon Strong, Leona Connor, Mark Connor, Lyle Connor, Nathan Pepworth, Jeffrey and Kaylyn Mattson, Aolani Day; half brothers and sisters, Elijah, Michaela, Kristina, and Isaiah Goggleye; his 3rd grade classmates; and many, many friends, as well as his two dogs Scruffy and Biscuits.

         He was preceded in death by his uncle, Tim Pepworth; great-grandparents, Donald & Margaret Hackey and Albert & Ruth Ann Strong.

         Visitation will be held Saturday, November 29, 2008 starting at 6 p.m. in the Vermilion Wellness Center. Visitation will continue Sunday, November 30, 2008 until the 10 a.m. Service of Tribal Rites in the Vermilion Wellness Center. Interment will follow in the Lakeview Cemetery in Tower.

         Casketbearers will be, Robert "Jr.' Moyer, Kevin Strong, Todd Goodwin, Derek Strong, Joshua Sherman, Chris Mattson, Jayson Strong, Joseph "Fish" Whiteman, and Matt "Chief" Whiteman.
