TYPE OF PERMIT APPLYING FOR – Permits $30.00/each: (Check all that apply)

Hunting permit – Deadline Sept. 1st
Rice permit – Deadline by Aug 1st
Gathering permit (Boughs/Blueberries, etc.) Deadline by July 1st

QUALIFING CRITERIA:

First: Resident members of federally-recognized tribes (other than the Minnesota Chippewa Tribe) and resident members of Canadian First Nations with an historical tie to the Bois Forte Band.

Second: Non-resident members of a federally-recognized tribes and Canadian First Nations who have a special tie to the Bois Forte Band through membership of a spouse, parent, child or family member.

LIMITATIONS:

v Persons holding Special Permits must be accompanied by a Bois Forte Band member whenever engaging in the permitted activity.

v No special permit may be issued for hunting moose or for shining deer.

v Persons holding Special Permits shall consent to the jurisdiction of the Band as a condition of receiving the permit.

APPLICATIONS FOR SPECIAL PERMITS

TRIBAL COUNCIL OR THE BOIS FORTE DNR

OFFICE BY DEADLINES STATED ABOVE.
