JOB SUMMARY:

The Security Officer, through observation, patrol, and customer/employee relations, is responsible to provide and maintain a safe environment for customers, employees, and casino assets to prevent loss of profit due to fire, theft, vandalism, embezzlement, and other forms of crime.  A Security Officer should have the ability to work with the public, supervise areas and groups of people, and be responsible and effective in emergency situations.

QUALIFICATIONS:

The Security Officer must be in good physical and mental health and must be able to stand for long periods of time.  Must also have

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED); prior experience preferred but not necessary.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.  Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.  Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
• Candidate must obtain CPR and First Responder Certification or EMT Certification within in one year of employment.
