JOB SUMMARY:

The Director of Marketing is responsible for the overall management of marketing operations, by performing a variety of supervisory, administrative, and technical functions.  The position is responsible for the planning, development, coordination, control, communication, and supervision of all marketing, promotion and entertainment venues designed to generate growth and maximize revenue and profit for Fortune Bay Resort Casino and the Bois Forte Development companies. The Director of Marketing provides effective leadership and management to meet the long-term visions and missions of Fortune Bay Resort Casino and the Bois Forte Band. The Director of Marketing represents the company with the highest standard of professionalism and conduct in all interactions with the public, media, vendors, agencies, co-workers, and tribal leadership.

QUALIFICATIONS:

The Director or Marketing must have Bachelor’s degree in marketing, advertising, business administration or related field, and three (3) years of related management and supervisory experience. In addition the candidate must possess the following knowledge, skills, and abilities required for the position:

• Strong background and  knowledge of casino marketing principles and procedures
• Experience in supervision and management principles; ability to plan, organize and direct assigned staff; ability to train and motivate staff
• Experience with budget preparation and administration 
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees; other departments, vendors and the general public;
• Ability to communicate effectively, orally, and in writing
• Ability to plan and  develop marketing strategies and market plans
• Strong analytical skills
• Solid background in computer software and database programs
