GUARDIAN AD LITEM – 9th JUDICIAL DISTRICT
The 9th Judicial District is currently seeking full-time and part-time non-exempt Guardians ad Litem employees to service a caseload of child abuse and neglect matters in the Juvenile Court of the counties of the 9th Judicial District. Selected candidates will also be trained to service Family Court matters. Guardians ad Litem are appointed by the court to advocate for the best interests of children in court proceedings. These positions will be teleworking arrangements working out of one’s home. A limited reimbursement will be provided to offset the costs of a home office. QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor’s Degree in psychology, social work, education, nursing, law or child-related discipline and some experience working with families and children in a counseling setting OR an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience. A human services field or equivalent training and experience is preferred. Must be able to pass criminal background checks including comprehensive interstate fingerprint checks every three years. Experience as a guardian ad litem, completion of the guardian ad litem pre-service orientation requirements, and a demonstrated comprehension of the responsibilities of guardians ad litem are desirable.
COMPENSATION: Hiring at $17.11 - $21.39 per hour. State of Minnesota benefit package.
